"Interpretation":
"INTERPRETATION" of tongues can mean TO INTERPRET or TO TRANSLATE tongues.
The Greek word for "INTERPRETATION [herméneia 2058 in Greek] (of) tongues" (1 Corinthians 12:10) comes from the same root as the Greek word for "TO-INTERPRET/TO-TRANSLATE" [herméneuо́ 2059 in Greek].
For example, it is written: "You will-be-called CEPHAS”, which IS-TRANSLATED [herméneuо́ 2059 in Greek] “PETER”" (John 1:42).
Another example: it is written: "Go, wash in the pool (of) SILOAM”, which IS-TRANSLATED [herméneuо́ 2059 in Greek] “SENT”" (John 9:7).
Another example: it is written: "MECHIZEDIEK [...] (his name) BEING-TRANSLATED [herméneuо́ 2059 in Greek] KING (OF) RIGHTEOUSNESS" (Hebrews 7:1-2).
Paul used a Greek word in 1 Corinthians regarding the spiritual gift of "INTERPRETING [dierméneuо́ 1329 in Greek]" (1 Corinthians 12:30) tongues.
For example it is written: "TABITHA (by) name, which BEING-TRANSLATED [dierméneuо́ 1329 in Greek] means “DORCAS”." (Acts 9:36).
Another example: it is written: "beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, HE-INTERPRETED [dierméneuо́ 1329 in Greek] (to) them the (things) concerning Himself in all the Scriptures" (Luke 24:27).

How interpreting tongues can be done whenever the church comes together:
Paul wrote to the church of the Corinthians HOW the INTERPRETATION in tongues CAN BE DONE whenever "the whole church comes-together at the same (place)" (1 Corinthians 14:23).
Paul instructed that in church "If anyone speaks (in a) tongue, (let it be done) by two or (at) the most three, and in turn, and let ONE (person) INTERPRET" (1 Corinthians 14:27). Here one person can interpret the tongues of several people who spoke beforehand, and communicate this interpretation to the church so that "HE-INTERPETS in-order-that the church may-receive edification" (1 Corinthians 14:5).
Paul wrote that in church it is also possible to "let the (one) speaking (in a) tongue pray in-order-that HE-MIGHT-INTERPET" (1 Corinthians 14:13) in order to communicate it to the church, "for the edification (of) the church" (1 Corinthians 14:12).
Paul wrote: "What then is (to be done), brothers? Whenever you-come-together, each (one) has (a) psalm, has (a) teaching, has (a) revelation, has (a) tongue, has (an) interpretation. Let all (things) be-done for edification" (1 Corinthians 14:26).
