How can someone be given more spiritual gifts?

Spiritual gifts can be described as being given to those who are in Christ, such that everyone in Christ has spiritual gifts. It is possible for someone in Christ to have multiple spiritual gifts. How to be given more spiritual gifts:

There can be SEVERAL WAYS that someone can be given MORE spiritual gifts. For example:

1) Asking God:

James wrote: "You-do NOT HAVE because-of you are NOT ASKING" (James 4:2). 

Jesus said: "BE-ASKING, and IT-WILL-BE-GIVEN (to) you" (Matthew 7:7). Jesus here indicated to be asking in the present tense in Greek, which could imply to be CONTINUALLY ASKING (so that IT-WILL-BE-GIVEN). 

Jesus then continued, saying: "if you, being evil, know(-how) TO-GIVE GOOD GIFTS (to) your children, how-much more your Father in the heavens WILL-GIVE GOOD (THINGS to) the (ones) ASKING HIM" (Matthew 7:11). 

It is written in 1 John: "IF WE-ASK anything according-to His will, He-hears us. And if we-know that He-hears us, whatever WE-ASK, we-know that WE-HAVE THE REQUESTS WHICH WE-HAVE-ASKED FROM HIM" (1 John 5:14-15). 

This includes not asking for the wrong reasons:

James wrote: "YOU-ASK and do NOT RECEIVE because YOU-ASK BADLY, IN-ORDER-THAT you-may-spend (it) in (connection with) your pleasures" (James 4:3).

James here is describing someone ASKING something... but FOR THE WRONG REASONS. Spiritual gifts should be asked for the reasons that they are given. Indeed, spiritual gifts are given for certain goals.

2) Being available so that someone else may give a spiritual gift:

One possible way for someone to be given more spiritual gifts could be to BE AVAILABLE so that someone else in Christ may give a spiritual gift to them. Indeed, it is possible for someone in Christ to give a spiritual gift to someone else.

There can be conditions to be ultimately given more spiritual gifts:

Even if someone were to ASK GOD for example, there can still ultimately be CONDITIONS to be eventually given spiritual gifts.  

For example, it is written in 1 John: "IF WE-ASK anything according-to His WILL, He-hears us. And if we-know that He-hears us, whatever WE-ASK, we-know that WE-HAVE THE REQUESTS WHICH WE-HAVE-ASKED FROM HIM" (1 John 5:14-15). 

In 1 John it specifies if one ASKS "according-to His WILL" (1 John 5:14), which is a specific CONDITION to be given spiritual gifts. Indeed, there can be conditions for spiritual gifts to be given, as for example a spiritual gift will not be given to someone if it is not in accordance with the WILL of the Spirit of God.
